Recently, I visited Elevarm’s site in Bandung to learn more their operations and work with the local farmers. A truly eye-opening experience!

Here are some key insights from my trip.

Elevating farmers with end-to-end farming solutions

Farming goes beyond just planting and harvesting, but a full process of soil preparation, seedling, irrigation, harvesting, sorting, etc.

Elevarm empowers local farmers with various agricultural support, from high-quality inputs supply to lab-based soil testing, and even farm productivity monitoring.

These solutions enable farmers to focus on growing their crops and ensuring higher and better yields.

Innovate with existing resources, the circular innovation

🐮💩 + 🪱 + 🧠 = vermi-compost!

Vermi-compost is the product of the decomposition process using earthworms to create soil conditioner and organic fertilizers.

Compared to traditional compost, it has higher nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content, which improve soil structure and water holding capacity.

A truly innovative solution to utilize cow manure from local farms to create high-quality organic fertilizers, which then feeds back to the soil and crops. The circular economy way.

Capital Is Key To A More Sustainable Farming

Cash flow is No 1 priority for local farmers.

They need cash to buy the inputs, apply fertilizers, put food on the table for the family, then only receive their hard-earned cash from selling the harvest.

Therefore, in order to convince the farmers to try new solutions, one should always ensure their cash flow is taken care of.

Agri-financing can become a powerful arsenal to create impact for the farmers and climate.

If agri-financing solution can guarantee farmers’ cash flow, one can influence many things in the farming process, i.e. change from chemical fertilizers to organic fertilizers, change to a more regenerative farming method, etc.
