🇮🇩 Binar Academy: Rising up to meet Indonesia's Tech Talent Shortage 🧠!
Indonesia needs 900k new tech talent per year but only produces 50k tech talent each year, resulting an huge talent shortage.
Gojek’s ex-VP of Product Alamanda Shantika Santoso stepped up and made Binar Academy, an edtech startup focused on upskilling for tech, data, business and marketing certified courses for SEA.
Alamanda believes talent goes hand-in-hand with heart, providing learners full offline scholarships for the first 3 years of its inception since 2017 (there’s a fee now but it’s still affordable vs university tuition fee!)
Notably, a student who didn’t have access to internet was sent a flashdrive of class recordings from BINAR Academy.
To date, BINAR has over 130k students in 18 different courses, boasting an 90% graduation rate, a much faster job acceptance rate for its graduates (30 vs 90 days), and a 1.5-2.5x salary increase before and after completing its bootcamp!
With BINAR’s tireless effort, SEA will no longer be a sleeping giant… we’re coming hard and fast to join the world digital economy as critical talent!
