2. Zentide’s $525K funding to Process Seaweed into $$$

Wavemaker Impact has invested $525,000 in Zentide, an innovative Indonesian startup converting tropical seaweed into effective biostimulants and biofertilizers. This timely solution addresses two pressing challenges: improving soil health and reducing farmers' dependence on synthetic fertilizers.
Founder Zachary Nice brings over 20 years of experience to this venture that not only creates environmental benefits but also generates valuable income for coastal communities through seaweed harvesting. The fresh funding will help Zentide scale operations across Indonesia and develop strategic partnerships to bring their sustainable agriculture solutions to more farmers.

3. 1337 Ventures backs Arus Oil to drive Malaysia’s waste-to-energy revolution
Malaysian startup Arus Oil has secured funding from 1337 Ventures to advance their waste-to-energy solutions. What started as a community initiative by Syazwan Majid in 2017 has evolved into a comprehensive system for recycling used cooking oil into renewable energy.
The company has already collected an impressive 2 million kilograms of used cooking oil across Klang Valley and recently opened a drop-off center in Subang. Their partnership with TNG eWallet now allows users to receive direct payments for recycling, making sustainability both convenient and rewarding. With 1337 Ventures' backing, Arus Oil has secured over 20 corporate clients and is poised for significant growth in Malaysia's circular economy.
